Ipod connections

Car  clio 172 cup
Alreet everyone!

I've just purchased an Ipod and wondering what will be the best way to get it playing in my car? new unit? link in glovebox?

Any help or info will be much appreciated

Depends what you wanna spend mate, only 30 quid for the FM Cup. If it's quality you're after then upgrade your stereo and speakers as they are rubbish on the Clios (IMO). a new system would/could have a ipod connection inc.

I agree with the above the Dension Ice Link is great, works a treat. Had one in my 182 and my Megane.

If your interested I'm willing to sell my spare one. PM me if interested:)

How much would you be looking at selling the dension ice kit for please? i've been to autosounds in newcastle and they're wiling to charge 120 for simple connection through glove box or 170 for full head unit etc.

Do the Denison products allow you to use the steering controls? I want to connect my ipod but i would really like the steering controls to work! Don't want to have to keep fiddling with the ipod to change a track!

The denison product plugs into ur CD changer socket on the back of the head unit, it wont effect the steering wheel controls.

It translates CD changer messages to iPod controls and switches the iPod automatically on and off as you select/deselect the CD changer source. The iPod is controlled from the head unit‘s CD changer keys and steering wheel controls (where available) and your iPod is charged while connected. THATS A BIG FAT YES YOU CAN USE THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS!!!!!!!!!

That wasn't the most unambiguous reply now was it?!... "wont affect" may imply "not in conjunction with"...

And yes, i'm more than capable of reading! ;) :rasp:

there is a new unit that replaces the ice link now called q-link, works the same way, and also have wireless streaming built in
