Is a 1.6 Dynamique axle the same as....?

a 1.2 one?

Bought my mrs a crash damaged clio for her first car (52 plate 1.6 Dynamique) and it needs a rear axle. I've found a local breaker with a 1.2 Dynamique roughly the same year but wondered if the axles are the same?

aslong as it is the same year then yes mate

just double check mounting points etc in case
