I think the problem with car's is; your definition of mint could be completly different to the sellers. I find this when looking for cars!

I have recently started to look into a 172 and began to like flame red but seems very hard to find a low mileage mint example.

flame reds are harder to find. But keep looking youll pick one up.

I dont believe in "mintness" when buying second hand cars especially 5-8 year old 172s. They aint going to be mint. Theyre not new, they will pick up the odd trolley ding or wearing thumbgrip or worn engine mounts, or the exhaust is about to fall off etc.


Id look at the above and just discount it from the asking price. Use to the extra cash to bring it to a better motor.
