i thought you weren't allowed any protrusions either - so if there are brackets that stick out, that might also be an issue - ? technically, anyway. depends if you're unlucky enough to be spotted and pulled and then unlucky in finding an officious Officer

Well the car certainly wouldn't pass MOT so a cop can argue that the car is legally unfit for the road.

As mentioned it would fail an MOT making it unfit for the road.
Police dont take lightly to it as it could injure someone in a crash.

If you explain to them exactly why its off ad its only for a day im sure they will understand i have done this before on a similar occasion as long as the coppers reasonable you will be fine
