I once hired a fiesta which did this and found it VVV annoying! Am i imagining this??

Used to do my tits when my old Clio did it... do a search and you'll find out how to switch it off! Either that or the manual!

Mine does it.

Generally when I start going about 50 or so. Think that it does it to counter the engine noise or something.

Most new cars do it? goes stupidly loud at 90 though!

Didn't know you could turn it off. Its a good idea but it goes up too much at 50mph when the engine/road noise hasn't increased that much, you end up having to turn it down!
