Is it my water temp sensor again????

Took my car back to the garage last week cos it wasn't running smooth and had lost power since they replaced the plugs, coils etc. Got it back on thurs they said it was the water temp sensor and it felt great until last night, coming off the motorway the fan came on and sounded a bit strange and now it feels like it has lost power again. What do you guys suggest? Thanks in advance.

Was the colent temperate gauge showing a chnage?

Might be a broken thermostat etc.
