is it possible to change the lamda sensor without taking down the exhaust on 172 p1?

i bought a new lamda but forgot how tight it was...


any pointers or tips how i do it the easiest way?

Lambda socket will be your best bet

Soak in WD40 and remove with a spanner. Might be a bit tight but it will work.

Cut thee wire off and get a ring spanner on it, then hit the spanner with a mallet

got i off with a ring spanner that was cut off in the middle and a 40cm metalpipe on that!!

i think ill have some muscle soreness in the morning...

the car has a much smoother idle now after changing the lamda sensor.. hopefully it will past the MOT to!
