is my clock wrong, or my clio extra quick??

I was a bit naughty, but I decided to see what my standard 182 cup was capable of... (on a private road, of course!)

To my suprise, I got to 145mph! ...on a flat straight road!

Anyone else discover there clio was quicker than normal??

Maybe my clock is reading wrong?

It did feel significantly quicker than my old 172!!

at that sort of speed on clios they are usually reading nearly 10mph over.

Ive had mine at a dial indicated 145 leptons on the M5 playing with a 200sx on the way to cornwall at 4am. Road angel was indicating 136 leptons.

Yeh 145 indicated seems to be the top end really, so is a genuine 135 or so. Book is 139 iirc.

I set my cruise control to 70mph today and it read 73mph on the clock, so it looks like the clock is slightly "ambitious" lol

Nope stock good engine can hit the 7.2k limiter which is about 144mph.

Speedos are a bit inaccurate but realy best gauge is hitting the limiter in top or GPS readout and adverages in both directions to account for hills etc.

Have seen the shift light come on a few times in top gear but never actually hit the limiter.Used to bounce of the limiter on my R6 everytime i was out.

My audi read correctly all the way, only at 150 did the gps read 149

Yeah I felt that with a sixth gear, I couldv'e perhaps gone a bit quicker (as well as help with economy on the motorways).
