I was a bit naughty, but I decided to see what my standard 182 cup was capable of... (on a private road, of course!)

To my suprise, I got to 145mph! ...on a flat straight road!:)

Anyone else discover there clio was quicker than normal??

Maybe my clock is reading wrong?

It did feel significantly quicker than my old 172!!

145! that's pretty damn quick, i got to 130 in my 172FF before i crapped myself lol.. Obviously its an automatic driving ban if I were to get caught..

Ive had mine at a dial indicated 145 leptons on the M5 playing with a 200sx on the way to cornwall at 4am. Road angel was indicating 136 leptons.

This is someones on here

big iain's first 172 aye.

Had my 182 at 145 on a downhill section and wasn't flat quite flat out. Stoddie passed me on the same section 2 years later like I was parked lol

I set my cruise control to 70mph today and it read 73mph on the clock, so it looks like the clock is slightly "ambitious" lol ;)

My old 206 speedo was amazingly accurate, it overread by just 2mph, at any speed heh.

It would take a genuine 200 bhp (at the flywheel) to do a genuine 145 mph.
Nope stock good engine can hit the 7.2k limiter which is about 144mph.

Speedos are a bit inaccurate but realy best gauge is hitting the limiter in top or GPS readout and adverages in both directions to account for hills etc.

Just like to add that that while my clock read 145mph, I fell like I'd got a bit more left... but at that kind of speed I wasn't going to wait and see!!

Yeah I felt that with a sixth gear, I couldv'e perhaps gone a bit quicker (as well as help with economy on the motorways).

I had GPS confirmed 134 on mine with 3 people and full of lugauge. Still had some left. speedo sair about 135.

iv done 145ish on the speedo the shift light was on i think its quite possible to hit the limiter tho as there was a tiny bit still in it lol
