Wrong way around the water pump.

I've put it on wrong before as well, but it starts to rub as you've noticed.

Whoops.... Didn't spot that LOL!

Yeah I had the "proper" belt for this set-up but it squealed stupidly!!

I just got a new drive belt from a local engineering company with 1 less rib.

Or you can go pikey on it and cut a rib off ;)

Lol only takes 20 seconds to change. Will do it tonight
 
I used to run them 'wrong' on the old cup cars as there was less chance of the belt picking up gravel and shredding that way as there was no lower belt run. Just go down a rib size to avoid rubbing.

Thats why I changed it back to the way above the gap between the two belts under the water pump was very close!
