I havnt got a manual for the radio. Is the volume speed sensitive? I know some radios in the Renault range were by going to some weird menu setting.

Thatll be ok. I have a colleugue who also has a renault radio. Hell lend it to me. From what he says it looks very similar to set up.

Many thanks for the info. If it doesnt work, Ill get back to you

here you go mate:-

hold down SRC

press up and down arrows till you get to SPEED select 0-5, 0 being no affect, 5 being a very noticable affect.

hope this helps

Cheers, will do that tonight. I guess close to 5 is probably the best setting, with all the tyre and wind noise I get in my car!

can you do this on the dynamique ones? im sure its the same playter without the changer... i carnt see any pre-outs either and carnt find where the socket goes for a changer. Ive been told that alpine and sony ones work with it. i have a kenwood one but that has a diffferent plug on it. Does mp3 cd changes work with the vdo controller?

BTW guys, thanks a lot. It works very well now. Dont have to adjust the volume any more all the time which is kind of nice.

LMFAO at save weight comment..

I have mine set to 3 also, it seems to be just right, although it can get a bit loud at +100mph heh.

it doesnt look like the dynamique does it and the manual is useless. how tight of reno not to include it! Ive heard that you can get pre-outs by attaching a cable to it - anyone confirm this? Anyone got a mp3 cd changer that works with this head unit? ive been told that only alpine and sonys work with it

the only chaner tha works is the OE changer (not sony or alpine)

no you cannot connect pre outs, you can only do this via speaker cable converters

the dynamique does have speed sensitive, you can adjust the setting to between 1 + 5

mine must be bust then because it doesnt seem to do anything. i set it to 5 but i cannot tell any difference unless im doing something wrong or the cable isnt connected. the option speed is there... does it work only with radio? only tried cd coming to think of it

Maybe the speed pulse calbe isnt working, its a single wire in one of the connector blocks (cant remember which one) but I needed it for use with sat-nav.
