Is there a way to alter the xenon angle?

It's annoying me now, the left is pointing too high, and the right one is pointing too low. Is there anyway simple way to alter this so they are at a similar height. The left looks a lot brighter as a result of this.

they are set by renault using their equipment. they are correctly positioned unless you've been tinkering.

and yes, left looks brighter due to the angle it points slightly higher than the right. reason: not to dazzle oncoming traffic

Wow I never knew this!!! I wondered the other night because my left seemed to be higher than right and though "oh no not another problem".

Are they self levelling on the 172?

I assume so.

Mine seem to level quite high, quite often get flashed at, ohh well, not my fault they can't afford Xenons lol.

Requirement to meet regulations states that factory fitted xenons be self leveling and have some kind of washer, is that not correct?

I see this asked time and time again, there is adjustment on the back of the unit its a white nylon hex head nut which will adjust aim. People confuse the self levelling part.

All self levelling does is dip the beam when you have some tubby hoe's in the back of the car or a boot full of luggage/drugs/cement. The self levelling uses an arm connected to the rear suspension which then dips the beam when the car is loaded up. Regular lamps have the roller wheel next to the steering wheel to dip the lamps down when the car is loaded. The actual aim of the beam still needs to be set the same as any other lamp, also if you lower the car it will confuse the self levelling and dip the beams so you need to have them adjusted when you fit springs or coilovers to aim the lamp back up.
