after a few years of owning a mk2 phase 2 1.2 clio 2003 i have decided to look at a 182 sport tomorrow with 31,000 on the clock so i thought i would ask your good selves if there is anything i should worry about with this car,,, eg service costs and so on... CHEERS

Yeh heres a few things:
1 - dont be suprised to see there is no spare wheel, I found it hard to believe at the time but dont panic it doesnt come with one.
2 - Not specific with 182 but any car in general, make sure they have 2 keys, thatll cost a fortune to get a new key.
3 - check properly the car hasnt been in a crash, more than likely the car would have been thrashed around a bit. i discovered mine had been in a light crash after I bought it. Rad was a little dented, front wheel arch covers missing, no splitter.
4 - General maintenance like servicing and running costs is pretty good. £125 to service at JMS, Im taking mine there Saturday. MPG is good if you dont drive like a lunatic 24/7 bout 35mpg according to trip comp for town driving. I refill mine every 1.5 to 2 weeks and thats everyday use with the odd fast road use.

Just for the heads up - new key plus coding was £110 - I made sure the stealer paid for that.

If its 04/54 it will need Cambelt so make sure its had that done as its a good £450 from a specialist.

i'd also make sure it has both cup packs mate.

Dont be surprised if the exhaust is rusty but check all the electronics, shocks for leaks, etc.

Thats cos the stupid 182 exhaust goes straight through the spare wheel well. lol :nono:
