Is this clio 16v or 8v

My mates just bought a Y reg renault clio 1.2 grande, and wants to know if it is 16v or 8v. Im thinking its 16v but i could be wrong.

Plus if it is 16v is it the same as the 1.2 16v sport model?

If its a Mk2 Phase1 Grande, then it should be a 1.2 8v. Some of the later Phase1s where 1.2 16vs.

All the Grandes were 8v

Yeah, mean that some of the later Phase1s were 16v, not any of the Grande models.

It is the facelift version, year 2001, are you sure its not 16v?????

clio grand only got made with a 8v lump. They r the most basic clio in that range

Wouldnt worry - just becuase he knows it isnt a 16v now doesnt mean it suddenly got slower!!
