Is this engine oil suitable?

10w40 is what the manual recommends, so that oil will be fine. If your draining the car you'll need 5 litres, there's a sump hole on the bottom of the engine, you'll need a sump removal key to get it open.

Just to make sure you have all the steps for changing oil...

1. Make sure you have Oil, oil filter, sump plug key, screwdriver, new sump plug washer, pan to catch oil, newspaper.

2. run the car for a minute so the engine is warm (but not hot).

3. Ensure you are wearing clothes you dont mind trashing.

4. Disconnect battery (removes risk of chopping fingers in the fan).

5. put tray underneath sump plug, and newspaper under that.

6. undo sump plug with key, be prepared for oil to drop out

7. mash screwdriver into oil filter (on the car) and undo it.

8. coat o ring of new oil filter with thin film of oil and screw it on.

9. replace sump plug with new copper washer.

10. undo oil filler cap and fill with oil until just below max line on dipstick. Check oil level regularly with dip stick to make sure you overfill.

11. clean up the mess.

Hope this helps.
