is this noise normal (197 steering wheel) ?

turn up the volume.
and if I put one hand on the tire and 'jerk' the wheel left and right very quickly I can feel some sort of BUMP in the middle..like a vibration.

i've been to the dealers once and they just tightened something up.
Seems only miracle will get them to order me a new steering column and/or other bits.

btw I don't notice any noise when turning while driving...
But I could swear my steering wheel is not as pinpoint precise as it used to be

from the wheel...but a bit lower down i think
I can hear it from the outside aswell

someone told me it can't be the column/steering rack as the sound is very...rubbery !? :clown:

No it's not normal,and if they told you different don't belive them.
It is problem with lots of 197,bad steereing wheel,contact your service and demand to repair that.

You may find it's to do with the push button start/stop etc.

If its from the steering wheel itself then it could be the steering lock not releasing fully and catching when you turn the wheel.
