I have Russ's itb's ph1 172 running standard ecu, however im going to go stand alone onit, what shall i do about brake servo? this is what is currently tapped into the manifold, is there anyway of utilising this? or would have to take the manifold off and get something bigger tapped in?
It currently has the brake servo running off the 'map bar' where the 4 vaccum hose's go, i surpose i could just block the map sensor end and keep the vaccum hose's and the bar and just run it like that ?
I take it its taking a vacuum from the manifold somewhere? Should be fine to use that I would have thought. Failing that a vacuum servo motor off a turbo diesel car running off the cams will give you instant vacuum.
Mine takes a couple of minutes to build up a vacuum so im hoping to go the assisted route. Hutchie knows more than I do about the possibilities of it
He said he did have a problem with them sucking flat but they have since been replaced, and the brakes are fine, i will try to move the bar forward i think, and move the coil pack to the side
That current pipe from the mani to the MAP tank is good, they dont suck flat, (the pipe I used before did) though as Fred suggested a non return valve in the brake servo pipe will make the pedal travel less.
