It's official - 182s don't like the snow

Managed to drive all the way home today without incident. The 182 behaved itself impeccably - a little skitish when one of the front wheels went into slush, but that's to be expected.

However, I came up my lane (approx 20 yards from the house) and reached the bend that has cobbles it. Yikes. 1st gear. No chance. 2nd gear, no chance. What was really scary was the lateral movement side-to-side - especially with walls either side.

Anyways, I thought reversing back and parking elsewhere was the better idea. Sure enough, one of the neighbours turned up in his Almera and ragged the arse off it to get past these cobbles. Ok, he did manage to get past, but the smell of burning clutch and tyre rubber made me think I'd made the better decision!
