I've found the CTR ariel's successor

Just got mine on the weekend, looks very smart  only prob is its hitting the cup spoiler, would this be because my 172ff has a diffrent base mount to the cup?

you can get them here in 2 different lengths

http://mazda3forums.com/enigma/index.html

Price is $16.99 USD + $4.5 USD postage, which is about £11 is it not?

Why piss about with airmail when you can take a five minute drive to your local Mazda dealer and get one for roughly the same price. At least it's certain you will receive it!

Jamesstone: That's a bit of a bummer to be honest. I knew the FF and the Cup had different baseplates but I didn't know it would cause the ariel to come into contact with your spoiler.

Not too worry, looks ace & since its flexible its not too bad, just gotta be carefull not to take the paint off the cup spoiler :dapprove:

Ace find though mate, first aireal that fits tidy to the base mount & performs!

can you get the 2.5" ones from mazda?

that is a hairy arm lol!! Good find with the aerial, ill be looking into one very soon!! :)

Standard one is about 3ft long. That looks about 1/3 of the size.

Halfords one looks the best.

I went to Mazda with the part number - they came up with something that looked completely different and it was £19 :S

Just bought one of these from a member on here, the rubber itself comes down over the threaded part so you cant get it to screw on. :(

Did anyone else have to cut the rubber at the bottom? :S
