Re: Titanium Clio182
Small update:
Back from a week away in Weymouth with the girlfriend and her family. Gutted I missed Llandow organised by
Tony Hunter and
Jay Payne maybe next year! Had a great time away anyway and the clio went down and back well!
(Sprayed the Renault diamonds black)
Anyway back from Weymouth Saturday. Gave the clio a good wash Sunday and that was that
Old man's 225d whilst his M3 gets sorted out and mum's F56 cooper S. (Spaceships compared to the clio)
And on to today, was going to go to a meet with a few others today in Basingstoke but with the weather being so poor and with it being around an hour from me I decided to use my time differently..
I took it all out while keeping the seats in, bit of a pain with the seat belt (passengers side) so with the drivers side I just used some pliers to cut the door card to come out instead of undoing the belt lol. Done this partly out of boredom and save me doing all of it when the buckets come, but it only took me around an hour!
The car is still my daily, but tbh hooning around a race track in a quick, stripped out little hot hatch sounds like something I'll enjoy. Regardless if it's a pain to put up with as a day to day basis. Carper, headlining, door cards to be removed when fit the bucket seats. (next week)
I've also got the bilstein b14 coilovers on order from dcperformance, unfortunately there's a bit of a wait for them but hopefully get them fitted mid-September. Then on with saving for my 6 point saftey devices and no doubt will probably go down the route of poly windows, lighter wheels etc. I'd like the clio at around 900kg, probably won't stop there lol
Donnington Friday evening, really looking forward to it. Will be great to get the car out on track with the new brakes and alignment/camber. Hopefully
Cub. Will put an RS tuner on the car soon (horrible to drive when cold imo) and should make it drive that little bit better. I know you have spent a bomb to get good results. I'm not really looking at great power gains at this stage.
Comments/advice always welcome
