JCC's FRS

I can't imagine how quick that is!
Very! It's quite deceptive as it's such a smooth delivery in order to minimise lighting the front tyres up, triple figures are reached very quickly!

Bangin, shame I wasn't home else I'd have fired down. Didn't know he'd bought Stewart's motor either lol.
Did a deal with the Fiesta rather than "bought" it as such, from what he was telling me!

Thought they might of finally went 4wd, Seen a GTR on it the other day?
Aye Simon now has a GTR as development car/daily, just runs it in 2wd when it's on the dyno.

Forgot to fire the printout up as well, again more for my own records than anything else!

I await someone picking holes in it, lol!

Some pics of Joe's car from today, get it well protected for the winter and a new windscreen sealant on for the crap weather. I love the fact it's an animal and it looks stock. It's also still by far the tidiest FRS i've worked on having done 10+ now.

Just Sport yellow (?) Im afraid :(

They do look good when detailed properly ;)
Its badly needing it. 2 years of trackdays have taken their toll and i have lost interest in keeping it as clean as it should be LOL!

Cheers Gally, more decent pics I can steal of it instead of my iPhone ones! Shame it's dirty again already mind, f**k winter!

Tyndrum, Just up past Loch Lomond at Crianlarich

No wonder you don't spend as much time cleaning it, too many cracking roads up there to enjoy instead!

It really is some machine. It's much easier to clean once sealed up Joe. Even a power wash will help.

Aye I usually give it a good blast off with the pressure washer at work mid week just to keep on top of it!
Looks fantastic!!!
Bar the 8" exhausts lol
Believe it or not there are quite a few FRS systems out there with bigger, the KMS Thunderstorm for example has 5.5" tips :fearful:

Another update to this, had an idea in my head that I'd wanted to do to the car since I got it and this week I finally managed to get it done.
Started with a set of the wheels I'd been after coming up for sale over on the RS forum, these to be exact:
045_zpshbjx2i5y.jpg

JW Racing (a Ford tuning company) alloys designed specifically for the RS/ST, as nice as they are in black I had an image in my head of the colour I wanted them to be, so the day they arrived I stripped the tyres off them and set about prepping them for paint:

Then into the booth on the wheel stand, cleaned up and ready for a coat of wet on wet (very thin primer that doesn't require sanding, just to help adhesion)

Primer starting to be applied, only the faces done at this point:

Once this was dry, I set about applying the marmite colour I'd chosen for the basecoat, Suzuki Mars Gold:

Fully based up and lacquered ready for a bake:

Left them overnight to harden up a little more, went in the next day and swapped my tyres over from my standard wheels. The finished article now looks like this:

Makes me chuckle looking at it in real life, it looks like an R/C car with how far out the wheels sit in the arches. I'm absolutely in love with it.

That is absolutely gorgeous..... brave choice for the wheels but it works so well. I would commit a serious crime to own a MK2 Focus RS.

Genuinely lol'd at that. Buying one yet?

At some point yes. Although the prices seem to be dropping slightly to me since the new one got announced. Only very slightly but im still sceptical as to what the prices will do.

Christ, even the purist likes it!

I've not payed much attention to prices recently actually, it's definitely worth paying a little extra to get one from the likes of RS Direct or another decent dealer, there's a lot of shite about. Quite a few that have had big power and been flung back to standard in a half arsed way too.
