Juddering when taking off in 1st gear

The car was in the garage getting a service, coolant change and winter check yesterday. Today when I picked it up I noticed that there was a judder/jump when I went to pull away. I went in to see the guy again and he took it for a drive with me and said it felt like the engine was moving. He asked how long ive had my Powerflex dogbone mount which is about a month.

He stuck it back up on the ramp and tightened the gearbox end of the dogbone mount bolt by about half a turn, it seemed to cure the problem at the time however it seems to have come back again tonight.

Its worse when pulling away at low revs. It doesn't feel like its struggling to pull away its just a kind of jump/jolt just before the clutch is fully disengaged.

I've done a bit of searching and it seems like it could be a few things from coil pack to clutch to gearbox.

Has anyone had this before and managed to sort it? I'm fearing the worst.

Thanks

Initialy I would say a clutch issue. I'm guessing it wasn't there before you got the work done?

Both mine do it when it's mega cold, once warmed up it goes away.

sounds like it could be something else with yours though.

Also had a trapped injector lead that caused a similar issue.

Have to say I feel like its a clutch issue. It wasn't like that before I took it to the garage, however It is just coincidence rather than something they have done.

Yea it doesn't go away when its warm.

What I would say is it feels pretty mechanical as opposed to electrical if that makes sense.

Im not totally up to speed with engine/transmission but is there any kind of adjustment that can be made to the clutch etc that could be worth trying?

Just a thought.... Driveshaft? Took my clio off the road and whilst doing some work noticed that the n/s shaft had shat itself so could of been that car still off the road so havnt tested since,

Both shafts were changed about 2 months ago for genuine Renault items but il check then over. I used every drop of gearbox oil I had so might try topping the box out up and see if it helps!

Mine has started doing the same thing but intermittent . Just thought it was the clutch slipping

is there any way to test the clutch? Still seems to bite in the same ace as usual, it's just right at the top before it fully disengages that it jumps/jolts!

Mine used to do this, a few hard laps at oulton park sorted it :p

I like the sound of this idea, give it a good ragging and see if it sorts itself out! Make or break so to speak! Lol

Just started the car when I came out of work and it made a strange screeching noise coming from under the bonnet, could this be related?

How hard is it to do the coolant temp sensor? I'm guessing you have to drain all the coolant?

No quite easy just remove the airbox unscrew and have the new one waiting as coolant will start to come out
