JUMPING CD CHANGER IN 172

i have a 2000 172 mk1 and have noticed that my cds are jumping more and more. have run a cleaning cd through it but has made no difference?

does anyone else have this prob? maybe the laser wears overtime with use? if so can it be replaced?

has anyone overcome this???

Itll be the dampers in the changer itself I would have thought.

I take it the cds play fine in other units?

Are they original CDs or burnt ones?

yeh the cds play fine on other units, it does it on real cds and copys???

is it possible to replace the dampers? if i take to stereo shop u think they would be able to fix it?

i presume a knew one from renault is gona be expensive?

ive had this on both my last vdo dayton renault unit and my current one. just have to flick to next cd and back again.

where abouts is the changer?

My one was placed under the drivers seat until i found there was mounting bracket 4 it, once fitted it never jumped again

where is the moutning bracket? they dont come with one standard, its part of the cd changer pack. should be mounted under passenger seat
