Just A Random Thought

I wonder how much it would cost to ship my Clio 197 to America for a tour round the US and back again?

Probably more then the car is worth!! But would be cool to turn up in Venice beach in L.A for a drink in the clio or blast across the US on route 66
What and where would you go?

I'd hire a Mustang or something similar. I know it's been done loads of times but something I've always fancied.

Wouldn't the Clio be a bit wasted in the USA, what with them not having imported/built any "twisties" from the rest of the world yet? Mind you in all seriousness a 172/182 probably has better fuel efficiency than pretty much everything bar a prius in the US.

I wanted to ship my car to iceland for a nice holiday and photos, it would have had to go via Denmark then on a private boat - total cost (just the car shipping cost) £1300!

IIRC, US 'gas' has a RON value of about 4, not the 97 Renault recommends...

Sounds like a good idea to me, but not the best. I want to 'do' America, but I'd hire something LHD, with a V8, Yank style

Me and a couple of mates are doing a 4 week road trip from Vegas to New York next year.

We've booked a 5 door chevrolet sedan s**t box for $380.

Unless your wealthy I think the moneys best spent elsewhere on a trip like that.

As said above aswell, I'd rather some American V8:approve:
