Just been quoted £295 for a 24k service!

Yep.. soon told her where to stick it. But not after argueing with her regarding what is to be done during a 24k service. According to her it is a major service. When I challenged her and said: 'No it's not, it's the same as the 12k service.' She told me I was wrong and that they do more on the 24k service. When I asked what exactly, she put me on hold, then hung up after bout 10secs.. I wonder why. This was Holdcroft Renault in Stoke-on-Trent. DO NOT GO THERE! There's a complaint going in to the manager tomorrow.

So I proceeded to phone round and got quotes for £185 and then £170. So I think I'll go with that. Just thought I'd share that with you.

I know, I obviously don't want to take it to a dealer. I'd love to take it to GDI or Rentech, but I don't fancy driving 600~ miles.

24k is the same as a 12k service why most people get charged more for the 24k I will never know.

Additional work,
New aux belt £183.
New brake fluid £40.
New coolant £57.
New timimg belt £616.
New fuel filter £40.
Drain & refill ac £83.
New plugs £121.

All prices fitted inc VAT.

I paid £250 at Sunwin just for 12k service.............................t**t!!!!!!!!!
