Just been to look at 182

Just went and looked at a 182 at the local stealers.

2004 '04' plate, 26k, titanium, cup packs, FSH, comes with a Renault warranty.

Said I can have it for £8800, or if i trade my car in they'd give me £5000 for my 172, and pay the difference.

Worth it??

I hadn't looked at it, only just had now.

mmm, spose it's pretty much the same car, just a bit newer.

I looked at one the other day, offered me 5200 for mine and the 182 was 7999. But the 182 was a bucket tbh!! And like others say its just too much of the same car for the extra money imo.

with a few mods you could make yours as quick as the 182 , but its a preference thing , newer car , warranty etc ....shop around ,even sell yours private will give you a better return

all depends on mileage/condition of ur's mate?

if ur's is in good nick then no id say paying the extra is not worth it

Think it's just a newer toy really lol. Will see, if I can get between £5800-£6000 for mine then I may consider it. If not then will keep it.

I went from a 172 to a 182, and I'm glad I did. I much prefer the 182. Admittedly it was a while before the 197 came out though.

The 182 isn't worth £8800, simple as that. £7800 maybe !

Mine is a 54 with 13500 miles in titanium with Cup Packs and in September I can pay £6100 to keep it or hand it back! Frankly I'd rather hand it back cos it ain't worth £6100 to me. Nice car but potential money pit with high running costs.

Not a lot of difference IMHO so may aswell keep your 172

I just changed, been without the 172 for around 10 months and I really noticed a difference. 182 felt torquey and more planted on it's Exaltos! Not worth £8800 though! get them down to £8000

lol you try getting a dealer to knock off £2000!! It's up for £9999, but they said they'd let it go for £8800. No way will they let it go for £8000.

I may try and sell mine, and buy a mint one from here for £7500ish.

TbH if you find a French car that's reliable you've got something rare so best just hang onto it.
