Just bought a Tomtom

  Datsun
Go 520 Music Edition. Have to say i'm very impressed. Got it from Comet for £179.00 & came with a £10 itunes voucher so £169 really.

Only complaint is the bluetooth didn't work on the first one but they swapped it no bother and the second one works fine.

Dead easy to use (better imo than BMW system) route calculation is quick and re-adjusts quickly too when you ignore it.

All in all, v impressed so far. The standard mount kit that comes with it isn't the best but i've turned it upside down and added a velcro pad to it and it now sits on top of the dash (just above radio display) which works fine. Also doesn't leave any obvious signs to the thieving scum that a satnav lives there!

but the fact you drive a Black gold 54 plate182 around Edinburgh and just announced on a public forum that you have one.....is giving the game away to the thieving scum you so mentioned.

only kidding lol

Biggest thing to worry about with in car sat nav....is the fact that if they do nick it.......I bet your home address will be stored on it,
letting them know that when you go to bed you have a very oh sooo shiny 182 up for grabs.

I had to use my boss' Garmin Nuvi round Edinburgh earlier this week. god it was s**t

Wish I'd remembered my TomTom, so much clearer/easier to use.

I wondered what the point of putting your home address in it was (other than to let anyone who pinched it know where you lived) which is why I skipped that part of the set up! :rasp:
