Just Finished Second Coat AG EGP

As above, just finished that little lot, i was wondering should i use quick detailer on it now? or just mail order some Harlys or p21's?

Quik Detailer should be before as the EGP is a sealant and the quik dealer in theroy will just take it off as it will be back down to the paint again.

The more you do the EGP the more gloss you will get.

Wait till the next time you wash it and throw on a coat of P21s or Nattys Blue.

Quick detailer won't remove the EGP. 3 coats of EGP works well though as Ben says.

I've got some new carnuba wax Rich. Was planning to use AG SRP, couple of coats of EGP and then this new wax next weekend. Is that ok?

Sounds a good plan Kenny.

Ideally the recomend leaving 12-24 hours between coats of EGP and then the wax, but this unless you have lots of time, a garage and second car is not possible.

I would try and do the 2 coats of EGP over a weekend, and then the wax the following weekend maybe after a wash.

83 is Meguiars DACP - an abbrassive cutting polish
80 is Meguiars Speed Glaze - a rich polish/glaze

Both suited to machine use from the Megs Pro Line of products

Another place for the PC is http://www.motorgeek.co.uk/1porter-cable-variable-speed-polisher-p-183.html and you have everything with that package, the extension cable, pads, transformer etc... Although I think it works out a bit more money it can be easier knowing you've got everything.

The one most of us have is Porter Cable 7424 Dual-Action Polisher

Easy enough to pick up the basics, effective swirl removal takes a bit of practice. A fairly safe machine to use on whole.

plus a good swirl remover, such as Poorboys SSR 2.5, and a good polish such as Meguiars 80 Speed Glaze.

Plus the Transformer, Extension cable and plug from Screwfix to get it up and running.
