No spare with a 182 thats where the exhaust goes.
Should have gone for a 172 as they come with a full sized spare
Spray foam is crap, any sidewall damage and it doesn't work.

But 182s look better!
There's meant to be two cans of tyre foam (Halfords stuff will do) in a pouch, originally under the passenger seat IIRC.

Yeah, yeah
Spray foam is crap, any sidewall damage and it doesn't work.
Any sidewall damage and your tyre is fecked regardless though or even if there's companies who will bodge the tyre it's not worth doing.
Tyre Foam also equals a new tyre as once the foams sprayed in thats it

Exactly. Get sidewall damage and you're stranded.Any sidewall damage and your tyre is fecked regardless though or even if there's companies who will bodge the tyre it's not worth doing.
i think the point he was making is that you wont be able to use the tyre foam if you have a puncture, if the side wall is damaged. i can only assume this is because the foam will not form a good enough seal?
Manufacturers are dumping the spare for economy (mpg) and cost reasons, and in some cases due to runflats. As said before, tyre weld does f all if you get sidewall damage, my spare gets me home, the fella's with tyre weld are stuck at the roadside.spare wheels are rubbish anyway. i removed mine from my 106 long ago. tyre weld is the key. a lot of manufacturers are ditching the spare now, can't be too much wrong with it if they're doing it.
also think of the weight saving!!!

Cant they just wash it out:S i have the same problem with no spare and assumed you could reuse your tyre:S :S

im pretty sure they can clean the foam out

So the best idea is to pray not to spank a curb at 80mph then!
