just got my 1st clio

hi peeps i just thought id say hello to you all here on cs

i have just got a silver y reg 1.2 16v expression + with only 8500 miles on the clock!

i have been thinking of things what to do with the car and i have come up with the following:-


alloys - either 16" or 17" multispoke (what offset and wheel size is needed?)
clear side repeaters
a set of back lights cuz i do not like the standard red ones (help needed on these)
silver bulbs
induction kit (would this be wise?)
i just need alot of help with this as i do not have a clue on clios as i have had a corsa and a megane before this so all help and information will be gratfully accepted

Welcome linzi. Theres a lot of knowledgeable people on here who can set you on the right path - unfortunately im not one of them! hehe

I think for the wheels, you can definetly get et35 - 38, 4x100. You may be able to get others on your car but not 100%. I just put some 17" et38 wheels on mine with 205/40/17 tyres on and theres no problem. But mine is a 1.6 16v Clio (Mk2 Phase1).

An induction kit will make a nice noise but only add at most a few bhp (but im sure u know that anyway).

Nice mileage on car by the way - enjoy it!

this may be a stupid question but what are the phase 2 lights and what do they look like?

Phase 2 lights are the lights which you see on the new shape clios. They are red with the clear circle inner bit.

Look much better than any lexus lights, and will go on your car nicely.

Think the expression model is only a mk2 phase 2 so should be the ones with the clear circle in middle

remember if you get 17s the car will not have as nice handling because of the rotational mass (but then again you are currently on stelites). Id say go for 16s, colour code, clear side repeaters (my expression+ came with them) and silver visions and lowering a bit on eibach springs.

dont slap in a tonne of ice because youll be wanting to go for a backseat strippout special every now and then to unleash some of the cars potential
