Just had my 36k service..A few questions!

Just had my 05 plate 182cup fully serviced and it cost £240 for everything (including rear brake pads, oil etc).

But im a little concerned because i though it would have had the belts included in this service?? Has the garage not done it because it hasnt reached the 5yr / 74k mark?? Is there another reason??

I am sure the Aux belt needs doing at 3 yrs or 36k?

The cam belt is 72k or 5 years.

Just needs the aux belt! Cambelt is as mentioned above!

Neither of the belts are included as standard as part of a scheduled service.

You have to ask for them to be done at the same time, if that's what you want.

autodata will just tell the mechanic to advise you on a belt change
all tho he may have check them anyway when he serviced your car an found them fine but it is advised every 5 years
as for the aux belt tho ....i would have that changed

cambelt, aux belt and water pump cost me 500 sheets without a service so you've defo not had them done

Thanks guys! Taking it in tomorrow, the garage which i have always used was telling me that they have a chain and cannot find any information on having the Aux/Cam belts done which is odd!

Car is 05 - so 5yrs old now so im just gonna have them both changed, seeing as its just one massive fidely job :S

dont take it back if they think its got a chain, shows they no sweet fa about renaults.

You just paid for a Aux belt change? Without the cambelt being done?

Cambelt is due now, and the Aux will have to be done again.


£240 for a service, new pads and Aux belt seams cheap to, can't be right.

Just had cambelt,aux belt and de-phaser pulley,waterpump and an engine mount and a service and cost me over £900 notes!

Aux belt is 36k/5yrs and cambelt is 72k/5yrs. They both need changing as its hit the 5 year mark.

Naa they just serviced it and had my rear pads done at the same time for £240..twas after looking at what i had done i noticed they didnt do the Aux/Cam belts so i contacted them which is when the confusion began. May take it elsewhere now then..kinda have to take it in somewhere quick as a creaking noise has developed over the weekend on the passenger side front suspension..so god knows what that could be! Moreeee Moneyyyy!
