  Renault Clio
hey, well story so far, passed my test and drove a micra, bought a 1996 vw polo 1.4 and went through 2 gearboxes so had to get rid of it :( then bought a vauxhall astra 1.6 sxi twinport and wrote that off so today i went and bought a 1.2 19v renault clio billabong edition, i was just thinking of some small scale modifications i could do for now as on a limited budget atm, any help would be greatley appreciated, thanks! :D

I used to have a 1.2 dynamique, which is pretty much a billabong without the turqoise on the seats.

In terms of mods i'd keep it really simple and clean. I'm guessing you're fairly young meaning insurers are normally warey of you modifying cars so would keep it completely asthetic.

Budget dependant i'd get an RS Grille (They are around £50 from the dealerships and is the best place to get them, PM Wests Renault on here).

I'd also get yourself some clear side repeaters (£Peanuts)

A good set of tyres (they make all the difference in terms of how the car grips and feel)

Set of well suited alloy wheels, although the stock ones are fine really.

Coilovers if you've got the money but again not a neccesity.

Personally i'd work on the first three i've listed and love it for what it is. Put all other funds towards saving for something with a bit more poke

its got 4 brand new tires which i was wuite impressed with and im looking at an rs grille on the web atm, haha £peanuts, love it! yeah ive seen them around and look pretty cool, the alloys are stock but could well be changed and coilovers sound so tempting!!

yeahh the astra i had before was remapped with a few other little things done and that was quick!! and yeahh im 18 but have a cheeky way around the insurance situation, i had the astra at £750 a year! ;D
