Hi everyone

I ordered a RS 200 Cup yesterday, it won't arrive until probably mid-February, in which case I will probably wait until 1st March to collect it with the new reg.

Thought I would register on the site and get involved a bit before the car arrives.

The car is white with black Speedlines, GT spoiler and Recaros, I haven't gone for any luxuries other than AC as it's a 2nd car and will sit in the garage and be only used once every couple of weeks or so.

I have a long history of 'fast' cars, including a MK4 and then MK5 GTI, 350Z, 3.2 A3, Elise 135R, Cooper-S JCW etc (all tuned to various degrees), but about 6 months ago we (Mrs W & I) bought a diesel 4X4 as a 'family' car which truthfully is fantastic in every way other than offering any thrill of driving!!

I also have a Ducati Monster 1100S which my wife hates me going out on, so I've decided that as I've been lucky enough not to be involved in any accidents in the 2 years I've been riding I will do the honourable thing and sell the bike (and earn loads of brownie points!!).

Hence buying the Cup, am aiming to try and go on a track day once every month or so with it. I haven't been on any before other than a couple of corporate dos, one at Palmer Sport where I drove a Clio Racer which was fantastic and have definitely got the bug!

So hi to everyone and although I'm new to Clios will hopefully be able to pass-on some of my experience gained with other cars.

Thanks

Mark

Thanks guys.

Coincidentally, I've today just changed my order to a RS 200 (rather than the Cup) which comes with AC as standard, but with the optional Cup package, as this isn't way much more money than ordering the Cup but with optional AC. Plus I get a few additional little luxuries like nicer dashboard & door-card plastics and a nicer adjustable steering wheel etc.

So the car will now be a: RS 200 with Cup package, black Speedline wheels, GT spoiler and Recaros.

Will look into becoming a member.

Thanks guys.

Yes I’ll miss the bike, but truthfully I don’t think I’m a biker at heart, have always been and always will be into cars.

Regardless of price it’s been ages since a car has put a smile on my face – until the demo on Saturday!!

Hot-hatches are just such good fun, they haven’t got uncontrollable power, or snappy rear-wheel drive, or carry too much weight, plus IMO front-wheel drive cars better than anything else (I know - on track with rear-wheel drive etc etc).

Anyway, the car is ordered, should arrive mid-Feb, in which case I’ll wait until 01/03/10 to pick it up with the new reg.
