Just lost a rear pad on the way home..

Hit a bit of brick on the road on the way home and it's dislodged one of the rear brake pads - how unlucky? Struggled the couple of miles home with minimal braking.

Just whipped the wheel off and the piston is touching the rear disk, no suprise there. Question is, is it just case of winding the piston back in and new pads, or will that be too much travel on the piston? I.e. new seals?

As the piston is right against the disk, is it caliper off to then be able to lever the piston back, or is there a cunning way to get the piston back in?

On the 172s they wind back in by lodging a screwdriver in the slots and winding it back in turning clockwise.

shouldnt have drove it at all, the disc will be fcuked so new set of discs, and more than likely knackerd the piston +piston seal as its been over extended so new caliper too.

Wind it back in and put it back together. The rears on a cup are only for a handbrake anyway! Jus keep an eye on it and c if it needs anything!
