Just my humble opinion..... 200 content..

Now before I say what I'm gonna say and get slagged, please understand that I like the 200, and certainly wish there was one on my drive.......

But....
Whatever it is, probably the crackin' deals available, I can't ever remember seeing so many 'new' Clio sports knocking around. So much so, that tbh now if I see one it doesn't really grab my attention anymore. If a 172 Cup was passing it in the opposite direction, my eyes and attention would follow the Cup without a doubt!!!!

Am I weird, or is anyone thinking similar????

All the 172's and 182's look pretty much the same, and they also look identical to the thousands of non sports. They dont grab anyones attention, just annoy the old dears if they have an exhaust on :rasp:

The 200 looks visually different to the non sports with the bigger wheels, better stance, different front end. Plus there are less mk3's on the road in general, so they are bound to attract more attention imo.

Thats what i think anyway, and being a CS owner I usually take notice of any of the rs range.

R5 GTT's stand out... MK1 Clio 16v's and Williams Stand out... 200's - 100% Stand out!

Only ever seen one, and that was on the M25. Not exactly plush with 172/182's round here either, though there are a couple, they are rare (in comparison to other Renaults, and in fact cars like VXR's and ST's)

I've seen lots, they have really grown on me.

I remember when i first got the 197 i hardly ever saw any, and towards the end i saw them all over the place. I deffo see more 200s that 197 though.

I travel about 150 miles a day, and have only seen 3 200's, 2 197's and a handful of 1*2's. Still pretty rare in comparison to your VXR/ST/CTR.

It barely registers on my 'care' radar.

Back in 2002 when I was 19, Renault offered free insurance to drivers aged 19+ and all of a sudden there was an explosion of Clios on the road. I was one such driver in a sea of black 1.2 Dynamiques. Did I care then? No. Do I care now with my 200 Cup? No.

It's a cheap hatchback at the end of day, they're bound to be common especially when offered with cheap deals with the sole intention of boosting sales.

Indeed! Lots of sales means the RS brand is a success, therefore profitable for Renault who will go on to invest in improvements for Renaultsports future

I've only ever seen a few 200s. And to those who say they really don't care, that's just your opinion. Some people, including myself, do care. When I bought my RB 182 I'd only ever seen a couple in that colour before. As soon as I bought mine I saw three RB 182's in the local area in the first week. I was dissapointed, not to the extent I would have considered buying something instead or ever think about changing the car because of this, but I was dissapointed. Still, I haven't seen one for a while so I'm hoping they crashed lol
