Just ordered a green car!

The hunt for a new small car for the family ended last week when Renault were able to give a totally unbeatable price on a new Dynamique 1.2 (with climate, air con and sunroof pack). Today was colour choosing!

I had spotted what I thought was a new pearlescent blue, but my mum was keener on black. As we rocked up to the showroom, I spotted a demo in the colour I thought was blue, but was told it was Nordic Green! I tell thee that this is definitely no green to my eyes! Green usually looks crap on cars, but this more like a dark black pearlescent with a green flip. Anyway, my mum was swayed and my dad didnt care anyway - so a green car was ordered.

So - itll be a Nordic Green 1.2 Dynamique with the climate control/sunroof pack. All for just over £8000! (£10, 500 by list). :D Delivery in about 5 weeks.

The saleswoman was actually the one who sold my first Clio in 1995 - it was my first car! I told her how it had whet my appetite for my subsequent 16V and then showed her my Willy.;) I think giving it the whole "I love Renault" thing helped my parents get the huge discount on the new Clio.

She quoted us £7,300 for a standard 1.2 Dynamique with metalic paint (£9300 + £325 by list).

The "Cool Pack" consisting of a/c, climate and electric sunroof is another £850 by list.

My mum really wanted the add-on as shes come down from a Volvo S40 2.0 with leather, heated seats, cruise, 6 CD etc. The reason the Volvo went is because my dad works abroad now and they have another bigger car - plus my 18 year old brother needs a car to be insured on.

green cars r bad luck! my mum and dad had a green car,a mini years ago, and that got totaled! my inlaws have a green xsara, and its the biggest piece of crap, citroen have ever built(and ive owned some of them)! m8, if u find it plays up a lot, get rid of it!

My girlfriends dad has a green Golf and so too does a neighbour come to think of it - and theyre fine! (nothing to do with perceived VW reliability).

Like I say, it doesnt look even slightly green. We got the dealer to park the "green" one next to a black one and youd be pushed to say that this colour was anything but a deeper black with a blueish tint.
