Just Painted My Calipers

Only got the 1st coat done due to rain stopping play but i'm happy with the results - didn't expect them to be so bright lol

mine are getting re-done this weekend. not happy with way mine came out, and also coz i forgot to mix the hardener in the paint

i remember when i did mine yellow for FCS 2005, not many folks liked them.

it was only Elliot (Eskiibest) and myself who had them.

P.S. Put some touch up paint or something on the centre cap bolts, to get rid of the rust.

I did it myself - only took a day or 2 to do so cost me about £50 max

i blame paint on my calipers for causing brake fade, i think it holds the heat in.

I know - it's really lets the wheel down - it's only on that wheel - Think I might hammerite it black

I took about 30 - 45 mins prop work on each caliper.
Good srcub with a wire brush - then a quick rub down with emery paper.
Cleaned with detergant then fimaly used a solvent cleaner to get any grease off.
I left them attached but took the pads out.
I went over the top I think with prep but I didn't want to go to all the trouble of painting it only to get a rubbish finish

I think its mint matey. I am going to do mine yellow now after seeing that done like it is.

Also arnt your tireswide enough as it looks to be pulling abit on the edges or is that photo trickery..

looks great mate. I have yellow callipers which the previous owner of my car painted. They are flaking a bit and i was looking for yellow hammerite at the weekend and couldn't find any. What paint did you use and did you have to laquer the paint afterwards?
