I havent forgotten about this! I am still waiting for the samples from Justmatz and also I need more people to volunteer to use their mats as samples. So far only bambam and _KDF have sent me emails. If we cant confirm the shapes of the mats this wont happen.

This may be a silly idea, but could Justmatz not purchase an Executive Mat Set from their local Reno dealer and use these as their pattern/prototype? I just had a set supplied by my dealer under warranty for my 2002 172 (my original drivers side was holed after 400 miles). As they were a slightly lighter colour than the original, they supplied a full set. (4). They are a dark grey thick pile finish with velour heelpad (Clio logo and button/spikes on drivers side only). They are listed as 77 01 416 257 in the March 2002 accessories catalogue. I found them to fit perfectly. I think they cost £47. Im sure Justmatz will soon recoupe on this investment and can probably sell the Reno ones on anyway! Ditto for all the other Clio models if Reno replacement mats are still available. Cannon also do tailored mats for most models from Halfords.

Scotsman - I really doubt that they will do that. They want to check the patterns with us but the samples havent come through either so I am going to email them in a minute to see if they have posted them.

Geoff - would it be too much trouble asking for a different border? I was looking in my local A1 shop at mats today - came in and read all this post!(took me 20mins tho!). I was personally after a royal blue set with a black border - Im assuming this would probably cost way more than the current setup you have given them. If possible, could I get the set same as everyone else if you need the numbers, otherwise, blue n black would be gr8 for me!

The drivers side mat went bald just under the gas pedal after 400 miles (Maybe I was pressing tooooo hard to the floor?). So they said they would replace it under warranty. Well, who am I to argue? The drivers side mat they fitted was an executive mat in a slightly lighter colour, not matching the rest. They said the other 3 mats are in your boot .....XMAS!! I think really they were trying a sweetner since the replacement 16" alloy wheel they ordered two weeks earlier (chunk out of the rim on delivery) just happened to jump out the box as a 15" dynamic wheel ....doh .... de tyre dont fit on this rim .... doh!! Of course this was after they removed the tyre from the old rim! So I now have to go back again!

Have received the samples this morning and will be posting some pictures later so you can see what the light and dark greys look like in comparison to a 172 interior and the Renaultsport mats.

Right I have taken some photos and uploaded them. The quality of the mat will be the same as the LIGHT Grey sample but the colour most people are interested in is the DARK Grey. I have compared the quality of the mat to my old Renaultsport mats that came with my 172 and they are as good, if not better, than them.

I think the MK1 and MK2 172s (aka Clio 2 and Clio 3) have the same floor pan so we should only need 1 example. Ill have a look when I come down next week.
