JVC head-unit not saving settings

Alright, recently got myself a 182 love it to bits but my stereo has me confused. Its a JVC headunit which I took out of my previous car (corsa c) and plugged it in worked a treat. Then the next morning I realised it has returned to factory settings. Did some research and I think I need to swap the red and yellow cables around which are my perm and ignition live. Just checking this is right or is there something I have missed out on the clio part? Stereo works fine too.
Any help would be appreciated.

I seem to remember on my JVC theres a fuse on the back that has 2 positions. Try changing it to the other position, it sounds like there is no permanent live serving it.
