K&N for 55 plate 1.2 16v-cant find fitment

Hi fellas
I just ordered recently a filter from here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4600981131

Went out to fit it after work but does not fit, it's only about 8" long. Strange thing is the 1.4 16v looks like it would go in my airbox, I would gustimate its around 13" long and about same width of 3". Any knowledge on this one?

on the 04plate 1.2 they revised the inlet. as such the normal filters dont work. last time i heard they were still making one for your model.

best bet might be to get a few numbers and ring round and see who does what. i know k-tec list a couple of induction kits for your car.

Thanx matey. I have mailed the shop - awaiting response. tbh its only to give the engine a break from breathing through that crappy standard filter! Coming from a lowered, strut braced, engine modded vtr to this more sensible car, (im a daddy next june!), I am pleased with the power that renault have managed to extract from the little 1.2

yeah i agree, i have to say mine feels nippy, bloke at the garage thought it was a 1.4 when he drove mine. fantastic petrol consumption too!

I think the bloke might try to get out of this, he says he sent the correct one. I replied the advert states 01/00>, but it does not fit and i would like to return for a refund or the correct filter-hope this doesn't get messy

thats the filter for the 2001-early 2005

2005+ has a different airbox (which is what you'll have)
