any good?

what's the difference with the stock mounts?


reason I ask is because I had a remap done saturday and my engine... well, seemed like it just layed down in the car, nothing more nothing less...

after the remap, I went for a drive and when you do a kickdown, it's like you feel the engine move, not so much fun...

so maybe different and stronger mounts would help???

I'm still learning the possibilities on modifying the car... so sorry if it's a stupid question

Most people on here tend to replace the top engine mount, lower front sub frame mount and lower gear box mount with OEM Renault mounts, then go for polyurethane (aka Powerflex) dog bone bushes.

If you can afford the ktec engine mounts then go for them as they are stronger but will cause abit more vibration through the steering wheel and cockpit.

I have some k-tech mounts fitted with an uprated dog bone mount as well. Its one of the best mods I have done I think made the car feel so much more responsive, no more knocking noises under hard acceleration. There is a noticeable increase in vibration but only at idle and it really isnt bad at all.

the gearbox upper mount and the dogbone mounts will be the onces giving you grief.

poly bushed dogbone and uprated gearbox mount will see good improvement in engine stabalisation, and you mayaswell do top engine one too. if you cna live with a bit of engine vibration they are awesome.

if not you need poly bushed dogbone and oem mounts with new items you will see great improvements.

When my 5K old OEM mounts are worn (tommorow probably) i will get the K-tec ones too.

De onderste baksteun, standaard zorgt deze voor best wel wat "kantelen" van het blok. Ziet er uit als een bot qua vorm, vandaar " dogbone" Hier kan je Powerflex rubbers voor kopen , de oude eruit persen , nieuwe erin en voila !

Goede mod, ben erg tevreden.

they are made by vibratechnics , anything made by vibratechnics is good , good mod to do , saves replacing the oem ones every few months

im also interested in my the k-tec mounts. it says on their website that by fitting these you will notice a "reduction in engine movement without creating any extra vibration through the car." but ive read on here that many of you have noticed a increase in vibration inside the car???

any1 any thoughts on this?

The vibration is hardly noticeable although any time a girls been in the car theres always a nasty damp patch j/k
