K-Tec exhausts

Im undecided which K-Tec exhaust to get for my clio 16v

has anyone got any pics or reccomendations, im thinking of either the 4" slash or the 3.5" rolled in.

iv got the 4.5 inch slash cut and its loud with straight through de-cat it looks good but is f**king loud i was debating selling it. straight from k-tec it didnt fit too good so i took it to powerspeed near me and the fitted it and welded up sum of the joints it now fits great,one thing i would say they call it stainless which it is but its sh*t quality and looks like its rusting. the gauge of the pipe is thin to and it gives a ringing effect when accelerating hard. in my opinion they are ok but the are a bit over priced try powerspeed on 01233662225 they willbuild a top quality sytem for less money hope this helps.
 


Well Ive got the 4.5" slash cut too. Had it for bout 9 months and has no rust whatsoever on it. Just heat marks on the middle section, back box is like new.

The K-tec exhaust systems are fantastic! Sound great and the quality is FINE!!! You must of got a bad 1! I got the twin 3 and its quite loud...But not on the same scale as Toms!! Earth shattering??!!

All our exhaust systems are made from 1.5mm thick, high quality stainless steel (many other exhaust companies use 1.2 mm stainless) and come with a lifetime warranty. All the Clio 1 systems are now also available with a centre section with a larger silencer to quieten them down. A silenced de-cat also makes the system quiter compared to fitting a straight through de-cat.

agree with bondy about the quality issue, i had mine on the car about 5/6 months and there was a large blemish appeared, very similar to oxidisation on the tailpipe

Yes, there is something wrong with it..i cant figure out what it is though. Its not rust, as it doesnt flake but it looks like its been affected by the heat..

Anyway, im at k-tec on the 29th so ill see what k-tec can do and see how good this lifetime warranty is! ;)

tom_16v is that the k5 (4.5" slash cut thick rammed) or the k4 (4" slash)?

rite what should i get? 4" slash (k4) or 3.5" rolled in (k3) or 4" rolled in (k7)?

i think ive just realised something-

can u only get the k3, k5 and k8 for the clio?

theres no prices for any others on the website?

any pics of the 3.5" rolled in on a clio then?

hope i havent offened k-tec coz i wasnt intending too,but as bambam agrees its not only mine thats affected,just out of intrest are your systems K-TEC made by or made up with tiger components ?????. other than this the only other query is the flanges are just slightly too big my car aint extremly low but it catches in a lot of places. no offence intened these are only my veiws and iam sure you will be happy to honour your warrenties.

IIRC a lot of people who have ordered their exhausts for delivery have recieved them in tiger-exhausts packaging

i also spoke to them at donny south and they said they were very familiar with k-tec
 


so has no1 got the K3 for the clio (3.5" rolled in)

is it loud n do k-tec exhausts sound nice n deep?

they aint all throaty are they?
