K tec front strut brace

Thinking of gettin one of these this month as it is finally payday whoop choo!! Could anyone who has one fitted to their car give me their opinion please? Are they worth the money or should i not bother?

The struts sit so close to the firewall I see no real advantage to a strut brace. Solid top mounts would be a better idea

oh really! well the stiffer the better i guess! lol. so i mite have to look in to that hehe........i want something that looks pretty tho and top mounts dont look as pretty and arn't as noticable as a nice shiney strut brace!

Lol well if you want something to look pretty then go for it. Dont like the look of them myself I associate them with boy racers etc lol...

really? I dont think they are boy racerish as they add to the performance of a car, not just something you stick on to make the car look 'better' lol....thinking i might just get a piper x viper induction kit now instead, difference in noise AND looks good under the bonnet

I wanna get a viper induction kit to but i wanna no if its the best one... its £200 theres cheaper ones but it looks nice.

Whether they actually add to the performance of the car - or take away from it - depends on how the car handles to begin with. Since the Clio is rather prone to understeer, a front strut brace is likely to worsen handling by stiffening up the front and thus increasing the tendency to understeer - If it makes a difference at all, that is.

hmmm, i remember putting one on my saxo vtr a few years back, cant say it made that much of a difference but i guess it did make it a little better at handling....i dont wanna put one on to find it worsens the feel of the car going round corners coz my clio already feels pretty tight and really good fun most of the time driving round the twisties. But like i said, i think it looks good.
Millwall - £200 is alot for an induction kit but i love the look of it also, it's sposed to add 7bhp APARENTLY but you can never trust what these things say can u, i guess the only way you find out is to fit one and see if you feel a power gain, but on the plus side it will make the car sound more beefy which is what i want as im fed up of having a silent car hehe never owned one before and its weird!
Can anyone tell does the tube on the viper induction kit go out of the front grille? Coz ive seen pics of clio's with a bit cut out of the grille and the induction tube coming out, thats how i want mine to look which is why im asking sexy!

Think it's pretty much a givern that on a clio a front strut brace does very little.
