K-Tec Rear Brakes - Anyone Use / Other Recommendations

Is there an option for using Brembo's on the back? If so, do the wheel bearing come fitted or do they need to be done

Cupster

I run them.

Not really seen any improvements, More for cosmetics tbh as they match my drilled fronts.

Had them a few years now and they seem to wear more evenly across the disc compared to my old Renault ones.

Only problem was when it came to changing the rear bearings. The new ones went in "too easy" (well under a few tonnes of pressure instead of 8 or so iirc!) and there was a tiny amount of play in the re-assembled wheel.

Passed its MOT lasst week though so must be minimal.

An option worth thinking about then , Ill keep looking round see what the best price I can get some OEM disks for and if they are still stupid money Ill get the KTec's

Get renault oe items will last twice the amount of time due to the bearings being already pressed in!

  M2 Competition
The cups use so little braking on the rear that it'll just be a looks/ cost thing changing from standard really.

as do all the RS's... mine's on 36k and still on its original set of rear discs, even after several trackdays lol

Try 96k with Silverstone, Nurburgring x2 and Mondello International x4 ... there's no record of them having been changed in the receipts I have from previous owners. They're at the point now though at which they'll need to be done in the coming while.

Mines only got 23k and one trackday under its belt, but the rear disks are getting a bit thin.

The rear discs don't do much work, pointless to upgrade, just get the standard stuff.

I think the uprated ones from K-Tec are still cheaper than the ones GSF can supply

Bizarre I know

Im sure you can get them cheaper than that. I thought the main price hike in rears was for the ABS bits.
