K850i again!!!

I'm on my 2nd K850i from o2 and this one has started playing up too, I think only a matter of days before I get the operation failed.
Whats the chances of o2 swapping for a completely different phone if or should I say "when" this happens??

Well funny you should say that, even though its a personal phone I will be using it alot more for work purposes! Just blooming annoying coz I like the phone just can't handle it constantly switching itself completely off or rebooting when trying to read texts etc

thats what mine was doin, the guy said do the software update blah blah blah, but I didnt really like the touch screen thing.

O2 are sendin me the N6500 Classic. dunno if thats a good thing or not.

I'm on my second one (as of yesterday) and seems ok so far, touch wood. TBh o2 were very good and sorted out a replacement without any hassle they did offer me the choice of another handset but like you I do like the handset just couldnt use it due to the software faults and dodgy camera shutter. I did have to arrange a swap on the doorstep with my faulty handset and the courier they used were nothing short of shambolic.

I would agree with you normally but my k850i hadnt been dropped while pissed like many of my other phones have. It's software/build issues that seem to be plaguing them.

if you have taken it away for repair 3 times O2 would normally replace it. How long have you had a K850i? When you bought the original phone you had 28 days to take it back and get a full refund/new phone if it was faulty.

I'm on my 2nd one, 1st one lasted 21 days, 2nd has lasted 5 days. o2 are trying to give me another K850i which I now do not want as fed up with the hassle!

if its within 28 days of the original handset purchase your entitled to a full refund or a different handset, get onto them about this ASAP and O2 HAVE to do this! Its certainly the case on prepay and I'm pretty sure its the same on contract too...

I've to send back my faulty K850i and when they take receipt of it I have just to phone the upgrades line and choose a new phone

im surprised to read all these bad reports on the k850i.

i expected it to be a cracking phone. iv had the k800i for ages with no issues!

seems weird! definitely wont be upgrading!

i actually did the firmware from the earliest to the latest and the earliest available was actually better i found lol!

I didnt get the K800i until it had been out for ages tho! ready for a new phone after xmas!

yup, all SE phones are like this for the first few weeks lol, they dont seem to test them very much, they are pretty much in beta stage when they hit the market lol
