I've been looking on hear for my problem but all I can see is peeps having problems with a solid red light on the dash. My problem is this... Not all the time my car will open by pressing the button on the fob, sometimes I have to hold it down for a few seconds then press again and it will open or just keep pressing the button till it does. Once its been opened I can open and close straight away by pressing the button. Only happens when it's been left for a while. It's not the battery I've I've just replaced it. Now when I go to start the car sometimes the immobiliser light just keeps blinking so I have to keep turning the key on the barrel until it goes off and then starts first time. I went to Renault to see about a new key but they want £200 for the privilege!!! £140 for the key n £60 to code it... Robbing B@$tards. Anybody have any idea if its a key fault or immobiliser fault or possibly both before I go spending £££. Oh and I'm off to the Ring next week and don't wont to get stuck out there. My cars a Ph1 172 2001
