Key problems - My Key wont start the car!!

Hi guys, My spare key wont start the car!!

Its always worked in the past, up until last winter when we had the bad snow!! the black plastic on the key snapped whilst trying to open the door. I had it repaired, and it can open the central locking as normal.

however when I try to start the car it fails. The car starts up for a second, but then dies instantly!! My other key works fine so its definitely nothing to do with the car - Its got to be a fault in the spare key!!

Does anybody know where I can send the key to get it repaired properly??
or has anybody had any similar problems and may be able to help??

I reckon its the immobiliser chip in the key that has become broken.

I believe the immobiliser chip has to be programmed to the vehicle so more than likely it's a Renault only job
