Someone's keyed my car pretty deep along the whole passenger side. Where do i stand on insurance?

It will rise. Sometimes depends on the size of claim. I'd try and pay it myself.

Exactly. May be just as cheap to get it wrapped as the bonnet and bumper need spraying anyway.

Why would you need to have the door done if you get another? Just because of paint fade or something?

The fresh paint you put on the quarter panel would look different from the door due to many reasons, waterbase compared to solvent, method of application, differing paint manufacturers etc.
