Kicker Solobaric L5 & L7

Hi, i just got my hands on a new 12" L5 Kicker Solo sub. Thing is, ive got a 12" round sub box...will this be ok for a 12" square sub or will i need to spend another fifty quid on a god damn square box!!! Also has anyone go any Kicker subs?? are they ne good? guess its to l8 asking now neway, as its due to be delivered tomorrow. Thanks

So your asking if a square will fit into a round hole? LOL!

... sorry No it wont fit. I used to have one of the kicker square solo-barics. Although if youre feeling up to a bit of DIY - you could cut the box you have already?

But then you must check that the cu.ft. of the box you have currently is the one best for your new sub. The difference a correct box can make to the sound of a sub is silly

im running 2x kicker l7 15 inch subs in mine there the new ones with the silver front, they are the best and no matter what people on here say they are the best for spl. ask any good ice shop and theyl tell you.

the closest to them is either jl or diamond.

mine are running 1450wrms each = nearly 160 db, ive seen 157db easy !!

i got two l7s on the way! 12"s, what amp u running them off hilly? im thinking of running eacfh sub off of a 1200.1 kicker amp, so two subs and two amps

Hilly, you are running them on 1450 W RMS?? Surely that will melt them!! They are only designed for 750W RMS arent they?

15s are 1000rms i think and the 12s are 750

Yea Matts right - i had the 15" and it ran at 1000RMS. Was excellent for SPL but i got bored of the noise as it were.

Running a Diamond M6 12" now and its so much better for the SQ I wanted instead
