Well once again it was service time, another 6k gone and another oil change... not too hard you would think!
Well i droped the car of this aft ready and left them too it, id specified what oil to use (Elf 10w/40) so what can go wrong... Well give em an hour and i get a phone call, "oh sir, it turns out the threads on your sump are damaged... a new one will be about 200 squid"
WTF... damaged, how on earth?? Well of course according to them it came in like that, in fact the bolt was nearly falling out... HONEST
Well to bugger with that, stormed down there to see whats happened, to find all the threads have disappeared bar 2 or 3.. bugger! Give me half an hour and i got a 3/8 BSP tap and sump plug, JOB DONE!
Now can things get any worse... YES!
Time to pay but wait, seems a bit cheap for reno.. oh thats right, they havent actually carried out a service but just an oil change
And to cap it off the gimpster mechanic has written in what could be a childs handwritting "OIL AND FILTER CHANGE" in the service book, which now looks like its been dipped in oil
Now by this time am i beyond pissed.. Im stressed and again the gimpster mechanic scribbles on the service sheet that i will need new disks and pads soon, hmmm... is that a fact now since they looked fine when i looked a month ago
Now will someone tell me the difference between a 6k and 12k service?
Cost of the last one when i had an oil change.. cost of service £99.99
And again at this one with an oil change.. cost of service £54.00
Any one else spot the difference?
I bitched at em about it as i think the spark plugs etc should have been done at the last servce.. but as it turns out they dont even know whats required on a service for a williams as ITS NOT ON THE SYSTEM
Why oh why do i bother, FRSH just means nothing really does it!
