kit car/q plated car.. can i register my car as one

does anybody know who i can speak to about this? had a good search about but cant find anything helpfull really.

basically.. i want to get my car sva tested, as a kit car as i have a modification engine wise in mind that means a cat wont be a possibility..

i understand it will be on a q plate, but can i get away with doing this. ie how do i get round the fact that is already registered as a renault clio?

i dont think you can unless its considerably different to the originally car, body pannels, engine, interior etc,

Easy enough to do what you want ie no cat without being a kit car.

As for making your car a kit car it can be done and there are good reasons somtimes for doing it and its not that difficult but why unoless you've good reasons
